Grosse Pointe Shores Resident Addresses Univeristy of Michigan Free Speech
Strobl Brings National Attention to First Amendment Rights
Grosse Pointe Shores, MI [Immediate Release]: Grant Strobl, Grosse Pointe Shores, MI, as Chairman of Young Americans for Freedom (YAF), is addressing campus free speech across the country.
“The Michigan Daily, a campus newspaper in Ann Arbor, recently published an editorial voicing opposition to two free speech bills pending in the Michigan Senate on the grounds that hecklers should be allowed to veto speech,” said Strobl. “The editorial not only has a perverted understanding of First Amendment jurisprudence, but also ignores the University of Michigan’s current policy.”

“Michigan universities should be forced to remove disruptors who unduly interfere with events held by student groups, regardless of speakers’ viewpoints” said Strobl. “When the radicals break the law, they should face the consequences.”
