Everyone is welcome as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with our 3rd Annual Trap Shoot - this event has something for everyone!

New to this sport? Then here is your perfect chance to experience Trap Shooting under the control of OCSC and OCSC Safety Officers. The package includes EVERYTHING you’ll need to have fun! Those new to Trap Shooting are welcome. OCSC Safety Officers will provide instruction on how to handle your gun, when to load a shell, and how to shoot.
Experienced shooter? Bring your own well-maintained shotgun or use one provided by OCSC. Gain additional instruction and supervised range time, all while having a great time!

A variety of our favorite Candidates running for offices across the state will compete for the 11th District Candidate Shootout Award!
You won’t want to miss this fun, yet serious, competition!
Complete list of Candidate shooters will be announced before the May 16 event!

When / Where to Register for the Trap Shoot:
Saturday, May 16, 2026. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m.
Shooting starting at 11:00 am (TBD*), Grilling starting at 1:00 pm (TBD*)
(*TBD - Actual start and grill times will depend on the number of attendees)
Flights of shooting order will be—first to register, first served—and will be assigned before the event. You will be notified of the exact shooting time and receive updates by email, text, and/or cell phone.

He is special counsel to the Thomas More Society. His graduated from Harvard College and the University of Chicago Law School.
