Orchard Lake Resident Named to Michigan Political Leadership Program
14th District Executive Committee Member Jennifer Oram Part of Elite Group
Orchard Lake, MI, May 20, 2015: Jennifer Oram, a life-long resident of Orchard Lake, has been named as a Fellow in the 2015 Class of the Michigan Political Leadership Program. The Program, founded in 1992, is housed at the Michigan State University Institute for Public Policy.
MPLP is widely recognized as one of the country’s premier political candidate training programs. Oram currently holds elected positions on the 14th Congressional District Republican Executive Committee and on the Oakland County Republican Executive Committee, along with a leadership position in the Oakland County Young Republicans.
Janine Kateff, Chairwoman of the 14th Congressional District Republicans said, “Jennifer has been an active member in our area Republican activities. Her selection as a Fellow in this prestigious and nationally known Program recognizes her long-term potential as a Republican leader. We are proud to have her as a part of our leadership team.”
In the November elections, seven MPLP graduates were elected to the Michigan House of Representatives and four graduates now serve in the Michigan Senate. MPLP was founded to expand training opportunities for men and women of all political backgrounds.
Oram stated her political future would be enlarged by her experiences at MPLP. Said Oram, “I have always been a political activist and the Republican platform aligns with my background and beliefs. My appointment to this visible Program offers me an important opportunity to gain skills and see how I can best enter into elected politics.” Oram graduated from Wayne State University with a major in communications and is employed by 5 Star Outdoor Media, an outdoor advertising company, located in West Bloomfield.
