Delegates Elected to RNC National Convention

Grassroots Process Sends Local Activists to Cleveland

Lansing, MI [Immediate Release]:  Precinct Delegates, even those attending the 2016 RNC National Convention, are normally fairly anonymous.   Not this election cycle!   With the national media commenting daily on the excruciating details of how each and every RNC delegate will be selected, the 14th Congressional District met in Lansing to select its Delegates (and Alternates) to the 2016 RNC Convention.   This election was conducted as part of the two day Michigan GOP State Convention that ended April 9.

“This process is about as ‘grassroots’ as it gets,” said Janine Kateff, 14th District Chairwoman and also an elected Delegate.  “The whole process began at county conventions held in late March where individual party members were elected to attend the MIGOP State Convention.  The conclusion was when those elected then attended the State Convention and voted by District.  Like other Districts statewide, the 14th was privileged to elect three Delegates and three Alternate Delegates.  This whole process brings energy those local GOP volunteers who help the party get things done.  I am proud of the process and of those elected!”

Elected to represent the 14th District at the 2016 RNC National Convention are:

Delegates                                                                 Alternate Delegates
