“When two of our Republican activists proposed we launch the Right on 14th podcast, our 14th Executive Committee immediately supported the idea,” said Janine Kateff, Chairwoman of the 14th. Kristina Karamo, one of our District activists, and Mike Parr, a member of our Executive Committee, are leading this effort. Their drive and creative energy got this innovative communication tool launched!”
Karamo and Parr form the broadcast team for The Kris & Mike Show which has the goal of a live podcast every Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m.
“I got into podcasting as a way to reach out to people across the political spectrum,” said Parr, who lives in Southfield and is an engineer. “Kristina and I were motivated to launch Right on 14th so others can hear more than the left-leaning voices of the legacy media. We have a great opportunity to reach out to people directly.”
The podcast, Right on 14th, will focus on issues important to voters in Michigan’s 14th Congressional District. However, national and international issues that affect the 14th District will also be included.
“American politics and world affairs have been an interest of mine from a very young age,” said Karamo, who lives in Pontiac and is an educator. “Anything that affects a person’s life, that person should be involved with. The conservative vision empowers all Americans. I hope Right on 14th will encourage listeners in the Congressional District and Michigan to share this sentiment.”
